Hike through a spectacular valley and discover one of Portugal's most charming cities with this trip to the Paiva Walkways and Aveiro, departing from Porto.

Aveiro and Paiva Walkways Trip

We will meet at Rua de Alexandre Herculano, 173, then take a 1-hour trip to the Passadiços do Paiva Trailhead.

At the destination, we will embark on a 2-hour walk along the wooden walkways, covering approximately 5 km (3.1 miles) in the Arouca Geopark, surrounded by the Paiva River's nature.

After the walk, we will travel to Arouca for a traditional meal with options for meat, fish, or a vegetarian dish. Participants can also opt to walk the 516 Arouca Bridge, one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in the world.

Next, we will visit Costa Nova, recognized for its colorful houses, and then proceed to Aveiro, known as the Venice of Portugal. In Aveiro, we will see the Republic Square, the 18th-century Town Hall, and notable Art Nouveau buildings like the Casa do Major Pessoa and the Ergovisão building.

To conclude the trip, participants will board a traditional moliceiro boat for a 45-minute journey along the city's canals, offering unique views of the vibrant streets.

The tour will end with our return to Porto, approximately 10 hours after departure.
