Get to know the fertile banks of the Douro on this tour of the striking areas of Amarante and Pinhão. Discover the wine-producing region.
Description
After meeting at San Bento railway station at the indicated time, the tour proceeds to the city of Amarante, where we will explore its historic center and the stone St. Peter's Bridge, a regional symbol.
The next stop is Galafura, offering views of the valley. To experience local cuisine, we will dine in a traditional restaurant, sampling the region's wines; please inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements.
The tour continues at Quinta da Roêda, or another similar vineyard. Here, we will taste exquisite wines and learn about their distinct flavors. The Douro region is noted as the first demarcated wine region and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Before returning, a cruise will showcase the Pinhão region from the water, providing views that are noteworthy.
After a total of 9 hours, we will conclude the tour by returning to Porto, with a drop-off at Rua de Alexandre Herculano, 4000-053, near Praça da Batalha.
