Fátima and Coímbra Day Trip

Discover Portugal's main place of pilgrimage, Fátima, and get to know the beautiful town of Coimbra on this day trip.

Day Trip Details

After meeting at the Calçada da Vandoma, we will travel south to Fátima, located 200 km from Porto.

In Fátima, participants will explore significant sites including the Sanctuary, the Basilica, and the Chapel of the Apparitions, related to the apparition of the Virgin Mary to three shepherd children in 1917. After visiting these sites, there will be free time for food, strolling, or relaxing with a coffee.

The tour proceeds to Coimbra, the fourth largest town in Portugal. Here, participants will visit the University (one of the oldest universities still in operation), the Old Cathedral (from the 12th century exhibiting Arab influence), and explore the historic centre.

Finally, the tour concludes at Rua de Alexandre Herculano after a total duration of 9 hours.
