Guimarães & Braga Day Trip

On this day trip, we'll visit Guimarães and Braga, exploring the culture and natural beauty of northern Portugal. Discover the significance of these cities, particularly known as the "Cradle of Portugal".

Day Trip Details

We will meet at the specified time on Rua Mouzinho da Silveira and travel to the historic city of Braga, a key location for visitors to Portugal.

In Braga, we will tour the interior of the Sé de Braga and the Santuario do Bom Jesus. Following this, we will embark on a guided tour of the historic center of Braga, viewing the exterior of notable landmarks such as the Episcopal Palace while walking through the charming streets of the old town.

After enjoying some free time for exploration and shopping, we will proceed to Guimarães. There, we will visit the impressive Medieval castle and the historic center, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fortified towers of the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza are visible from various points in the city. We will examine its exterior, noting the influence of 14th-century French architecture.

Our trip will conclude at Rua de Alexandre Herculano after a total of 9 hours.
