We'll meet our English–speaking guide at 10 am in front of Porto Cathedral, constructed starting in 1110 in the Romanesque architectural style, typical of the Middle Ages. The tour begins with an interior visit to admire its architecture.
Next, we'll explore the Pena Ventosa, a narrow maze of streets. Following this, we'll visit Sao João street, where the guide will share its history during the tour.
We'll then proceed to the Ribeira district, known for its colourful houses. Throughout the tour, the specialised guide will provide insights into the medieval period of Porto.
The guided tour in medieval Porto concludes after a 2-hour walk, in the Praça do Infante, which honors Henry the Navigator, recognized for his role in the great discoveries of the New World.
