Day Trip Details
After picking you up at Calçada da Vandoma in the morning, we will depart Porto, crossing the Minho region into Spain.
The first stop will be Santiago de Compostela, known as a significant religious center and one of the oldest pilgrimage sites in the world, recognized as the endpoint of the "Camino de Santiago." We will visit the cathedral, admired from the outside, which is a renowned example of romantic architecture and is said to house the remains of St. James the Apostle. Though the cathedral is under construction, it remains a vital highlight in the city.
Afterward, there will be free time for lunch and exploration of the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or to purchase souvenirs.
In the afternoon, we will proceed to Valença do Minho. Here, you will have free time to explore its impressive fortress, characterized by two towers and a double wall, showcasing 17th and 18th-century military architecture.
We will conclude the trip at Rua de Alexandre Herculano after a total of 9 hours.
