Diving in Portobelo

Embark on an exciting subaquatic journey along the stunning northern coastline of Panama, where you will uncover the vibrant coral reefs and meet exotic tropical fish in the crystal-clear Caribbean waters of Portobelo.

Scuba Diving Experience for Seasoned Divers

The dive will commence at the Scuba Portobelo jetty, where we will gear up with all essential equipment to ensure a captivating dive.

Once equipped, we’ll board a boat that will take us to multiple dive sites. The specific locations we visit will be dictated by the current weather and sea conditions, potentially including Drake, Buenaventura, Salmedina, El Faro, Padre Island, Tres Hermanas, Huertas, Parche Point, or El Avion, all reachable within a short 10-minute voyage from the dock.

We’ll immerse ourselves in two dives. The depth of each dive will be tailored to the group's experience level and prevailing weather conditions. During our first dive, you'll marvel at the stunning coral formations. The underwater scenery at Portobelo, celebrated for its biodiversity, will undoubtedly captivate you.

After the first dive, we will proceed to the second site, where you'll witness a variety of species indigenous to the Panamanian Caribbean. Be on the lookout for rays, lionfish, French angelfish, moray eels, and butterflyfish that inhabit these waters.

As this underwater experience comes to a close, we’ll make our way back to the initial dock, wrapping up this engaging 2-hour dive activity.

Requirements

To participate in this experience, you must possess an Open Water Diving certificate or an equivalent.
