San Ignacio Miní
This day trip includes a visit to the San Ignacio Miní reduction, one of the main Jesuit missions established in the 17th century. The European monks aimed to convert the local Guaraní Indigenous people along the Paraná River to their faith.
San Ignacio Miní is the best preserved Jesuit reduction in Argentina. We will explore the standing remains of the mission, including the central square, the church, the Casa de los Padres, dwellings, the cemetery, and the chapter house, all constructed with characteristic reddish asperon stone.
Schedule: Departure from Posadas at either 8 am or 2 pm, with a return 6 hours later.
San Ignacio Miní + Audiovisual Show
If you choose this option, we will enjoy an audiovisual show about the ruins after visiting San Ignacio Miní. The show uses technology to bring the history to life, allowing you to experience it firsthand.
Schedule: Departure from Posadas at 4 pm.
