Explore the ruins of an ancient Roman town on our Herculaneum Day Trip. We'll take a trip back in time and learn what life was like for its residents before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.

Herculaneum Day Trip

At 7:20 am, we'll meet on Viale Pasitea and leave Positano for Herculaneum. After 1 hour 30 minutes, we will arrive at this ancient Roman town.

Herculaneum was buried in ash during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and was discovered in 1709. The remains had been buried under a lava flow that solidified into rock, resulting in well-preserved houses and domestic items.

Our guided tour will include sites such as the House of the Corinthian Atrium, the House of the Neptune Mosaic, the House of the Deer, and the Forum Baths. We will discuss life for Herculaneum's residents before the eruption.

Next, you'll have 1 hour of free time for lunch at a nearby restaurant. After reconvening, we'll return to Positano and conclude the trip at the meeting point at 1:20 pm.
