Mysterious caves, rocky canyon landscapes and pre-Columbian remains. Join us on this 2-day tour around Potosí to discover these attractions.

Day 1

We will meet at 8 am in front of the Potosí Mint. Our first destination, located about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) outside the city, is a silver smelter, where we will learn about Potosí's mining tradition and see colonial-era silver processing machines. Next, we will visit the Devil's Cave, a site shrouded in legend.

Afterward, we will explore the Cayara hacienda and its house museum with murals, then see the Cayara tunnels linked to the hydroelectric plant financed by Frenchman Luis Soux, which provided public lighting to Potosí. Following a lunch break, we will visit the Chiracoro lime kilns and examine the use of lime from their smelting furnaces. We will conclude the day at Chocko Chocko hill with an archaeological site before camping at Jatun Pampa by the river.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will visit the Valley of Rocks, known for its geological formations and canyons inhabited by pumas. Our next stop will be the Chiracoro waterfalls, a natural area where we can observe artisanal fishermen. After lunch, we will return to Potosí, arriving around 4 pm.
