Melgarejo Trail Hike
After picking you up from your hotel in Potosí at 8 am, we will head to the beginning of the Melgarejo trail to set off on our hike. During the seven-hour hike, we will follow the footsteps of the famous Bolivian politician Mariano Melgarejo and learn about his life, including why he ordered the construction of this road. We will discover a panoramic view of Potosí and the Cerro Rico, which was home to important silver reserves. The route also includes the Portaretrato Cave and a stop for a well-deserved picnic.
Afterwards, we will continue the hike, exploring local plants and wildlife, including various cacti. The hike concludes, and we will drop you off at your hotel by around 4 pm.
Hotel pick up
This tour includes pick-up from hotels in central Potosí. If you are staying in nearby villages, you need to make your own way to the meeting point on Calle Lanza.
