At the appointed time, we'll meet at the Villa Imperial in Potosí. From this location, we'll walk to the Plaza del 10 de Noviembre, where we will find the National Mint of Bolivia.
This building, founded in 1572 as the Royal Mint of Potosi, was where coins were manufactured during the Spanish colonial period. It is noted for a significant scam in history. We will explore various rooms of the museum to learn more.
Next, we will visit Francisco Gómez de la Rocha's house. He was the architect behind the coin counterfeiting scheme.
After exploring Rocha's history and the "rochunas", we will tour the city to see other points of interest including the Santo Domingo church, San Martín church, and the convent of Santa Teresa, among others.
The tour will conclude by returning to the starting point.
