Spend a day immersed in a unique landscape on a day trip to the Uyuni salt flats from Potosí.
Day Trip Details
We will depart from the former bus terminal on Avenida Universitaria to begin the excursion to Salar de Uyuni salt flats.
Upon arrival at the Uyuni bus station, we will board an off-roading vehicle to reach the salt flats.
Our first stop will be the Uyuni train cemetery, featuring remains of 19th-century railroads.
Next, we will visit Colchani, the gateway to the Uyuni salt flats, where we will see the salt eyes.
We will then stop at the Playa Blanca hotel, constructed entirely from salt blocks, which includes a museum and restaurant.
At midday, a lunch featuring seasonal regional products will be served. Afterward, we will continue to Plaza de las Banderas, notable for its flagpoles with flags from around the world; visitors are encouraged to bring their own flags.
The final stop will be Incahuasi Island, home to large cacti and petrified coral formations. This spot is ideal for photos.
We will return to the bus station in Uyuni and begin the journey back to Potosí, with arrival scheduled for midnight after a 19.5-hour day.
