Tour Details
We'll meet at the designated time at Via Carlo Rosini, 21 to begin our guided tour of Pozzuoli.
The tour begins with a walk towards Villa Avellino, a Centenary Park that retains remnants of ancient Roman cisterns reflecting the city's hydraulic and architectural significance during the imperial era.
Next, we will proceed to the San Guiseppe slope, descending to the Macellum (known as the Temple of Serapis), famous for its Roman indoor market and significant discoveries related to Bradyseism.
Following this, we will visit the fishermen's dock and the Via Napoli seafront promenade, historically important as it marks the first arrival point of the Greeks in Pozzuoli.
Finally, we will ascend towards the Rione Terra rock, reflecting on the neighbourhood's evacuation on March 2, 1970, due to Bradyseism and its subsequent renovation.
Our 2-hour walking tour will conclude with a return to our meeting point, where we will say our goodbyes.
