Tour Details
We'll meet at the designated time, at Via Carlo Rosini, 21 to begin our guided tour of Pozzuoli. We'll start by walking towards Villa Avellino, a Centenary Park with remnants of ancient Roman cisterns, which reflect the city's importance during the imperial era.
Next, we'll proceed to the San Guiseppe slope, descending towards the Macellum, also known as the Temple of Serapis, significant for its connection to Bradyseism.
We will then reach the fishermen's dock and the Via Napoli seafront promenade, an important historical site, marking the arrival point of the Greeks in Pozzuoli.
Finally, we'll head to the Rione Terra rock, where we will recount the evacuation on March 2, 1970, due to Bradyseism, and discuss the area's recent renovation.
The tour will last 2 hours, concluding back at our meeting point for farewells.
