Terezin Concentration Camp Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet up at Powder Tower in Prague and set off on a bus toward Terezín.
Once we arrive, we'll explore the Terezin Fortress, built from 1780 to 1790, later converted into a concentration camp active from 1941 to 1945. Here, we'll visit two important museums to learn about the harsh deportation systems, living conditions, and the many people who died on these grounds.
We'll pass through the National Cemetery and enter the Small Fortress, where Gavrilo Princip, the assassin of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, was held. Time will be allocated for reflection on the path of the prisoners after their arrival.
Visits will include the registration office, warehouse, prisons, the location of the firing squad, cemeteries, and the morgue. An English-speaking guide will provide insights into the history and use of this location under Nazi occupation.
After the visit, we'll return to the starting point in Prague after a total of 7 hours.
