Santiago Island Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Praia at 9 am and head inland into Santiago island. We'll pass through Picos, where we'll stop to try locally made grogue, a white rum made from cane sugar. You'll also see the Pico de Antonia, the tallest mountain on the island.
Upon arrival at Assomada, we'll explore its market, featuring fruit, vegetables, and fresh fish. Then, we will cross the Serra de Malagueta Natural Park on our way to Tarrafal.
In this fishing village, we will visit the idyllic beaches of Cape Verde, which have a historical context as a former concentration camp site during the Second World War. We will learn about this history at the Museum of the Resistance.
For lunch, you'll enjoy a typical meal in a restaurant in Tarrafal, featuring fried fish, stuffed tuna or grouper, vegetables, salad, water, and coffee, all while taking in stunning views of the Atlantic.
After lunch, we'll return to Praia, visiting stunning bays and deserted beaches along the way. We aim to be back at your accommodation by 5 pm, concluding an unforgettable day in Santiago.
