Discover another one of Cape Verde's breathtaking islands on our São Vicente Island Day Trip from Praia. You'll visit the city of Mindelo and the beautiful Monte Verde Natural Park.

São Vicente Island Day Trip

At 5 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Praia and take you to Santiago Island Airport for your flight to São Vicente Island, arriving after 1 hour.

Upon arrival, we will pick you up and commence a tour of São Vicente Island, the second most populated island of the Cape Verde archipelago. The tour starts in Mindelo, visiting the main church, the municipal market, and the birthplace of singer Cesária Évora. Additionally, we'll explore Fortim do Rei to view the Belem Tower and its connection to the twin tower in Lisbon.

After Mindelo, we'll visit the Praia da Bote market. The fresh fish here is typically sourced from the vicinity of Salamansa, our next stop, followed by Gatas Bay for views of its sand dunes.

Subsequently, we'll proceed to Monte Verde Natural Park, known for its distinctive rock formations—or 'volcanic tuffs'. After enjoying the landscape, we return to Mindelo for 30 minutes to have lunch beside Laginha Beach.

We will then take you to São Vicente Airport for your return flight. After landing back on Santiago Island, we will pick you up and return you to your hotel in Praia, estimating arrival at 6 pm.

Flights between Praia and São Vicente

You'll need to reserve your own flight from RAI (Praia Airport) at 7 am, arriving at VXE (São Vicente Airport) at 7:55 am. The return flight departs from VXE at 4 pm and arrives at RAI at 4:55 pm. Both routes are operated by Binter.
