São Vicente Island Day Trip

At 5 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Praia and take you to Santiago Island Airport for a flight to São Vicente Island, arriving after 1 hour.

Upon landing, we'll pick you up at the terminal and start our tour of São Vicente Island, the Cape Verde archipelago's second most populated island. Our tour begins in Mindelo, where we'll visit the main church, the municipal market, and the birthplace of singer Cesária Évora. We'll also visit Fortim do Rei to see the Belem Tower and learn about its connection to the twin tower in Lisbon.

After the tour in Mindelo, we'll visit the Praia da Bote market and then travel to Salamansa. Next, we'll proceed to Gatas Bay to view its spectacular sand dunes.

Our next stop is the Monte Verde Natural Park, known for its unique volcanic tuffs. After the visit, we'll return to Mindelo for a 30-minute lunch break next to Laginha Beach.

We will then take you to São Vicente Airport for your return flight. After landing back on Santiago Island, we’ll pick you up and drop you at your hotel in Praia, estimated arrival time is 6 pm.

Flights between Praia and São Vicente

You must reserve your flight from RAI (Praia Airport) departing at 7 am and landing at VXE (São Vicente Airport) at 7:55 am. The airline operator Binter offers this route.
