Serra de Malagueta Hike
We'll pick you up at the indicated time from your accommodation in Praia, and then travel to the Serra de Malagueta Natural Park, located an hour away. You'll experience the breathtaking view of the volcanic Fogo island.
Over three hours, we'll hike through the national park, exploring its greenery and the Main river, leading us to our first stop, Gongon. In this village, locals will share insights about the ancient traditions of Santiago Island.
We will then continue exploring Serra de Malagueta until we reach Espinho Branco, where you'll encounter the rabelados, a religious community living in isolation since 1942, and learn about their choices.
At the end of the hike, a picnic lunch awaits, including sandwiches, water, juice, fruit, and dessert. Afterward, we'll return to Praia by bus and conclude the excursion with drop-off at your hotel, totaling 5 hours of activity.
