Serra de Malagueta Hike
We'll pick you up at the indicated time from your accommodation in Praia and then travel to the Serra de Malagueta Natural Park, approximately an hour away. From there, you'll enjoy views of the volcanic Fogo island.
During this three-hour hike, we'll explore the park's greenery and the Main river before stopping at Gongon. Here, local villagers will share the ancient traditions of Santiago Island that are still preserved today.
We will continue our nature immersion towards Espinho Branco, where you can enjoy stunning sea views and meet the rabelados, a religious community living in isolation since 1942, to learn about their lifestyle choices.
At the end of the hike, a picnic lunch will be provided, consisting of sandwiches, water, juice, fruit, and dessert. Afterward, we will return to Praia by bus, concluding the excursion after five hours of activities.
