Guided Tour of Premià de Mar
We'll meet at 11 am at Carrer de Joan Prim to start our guided tour of Premià de Mar. This coastal town, located between the sea and the mountains of Catalunya, offers numerous historical insights.
We will walk through the old town while discussing its history, including topics such as modernism, pirates, and industrialisation.
We will pass through Plaça Nova to see the Font del Cargol, and visit the Escola Assís, built in 1905 by the Congregation of the Capuchin Sisters, to learn about its façade and history.
Next, we will head to Carrer Sant Antoni in the fishermen's quarter to explore the significance of the sea for this city, passing by the Patronat, a Catalan modernist building from the early 20th century with a unique façade.
We will also see notable sites such as Can Manent, the oldest intact building in town, and the Museu de l'Estampació, located in a former industrial plant.
The guided tour of Premià de Mar will conclude at 12:30 pm at the museum entrance.
