Join us for a day at sea on this boat trip around the Ambracian Gulf. Throughout the trip, we'll sail the turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea.
Sail Along the Ambracian Gulf
At the indicated time we'll meet at Eleftheriou Venizelou Street, in Preveza, to begin this boat trip around the Gulf of Arta. We'll spend the day in the waters of the Ionian Sea while discovering the historical and environmental significance of this area of northwest Greece.
As we sail, we'll share various facts about the Ambracian Gulf, also known as the Gulf of Arta or the Actium Gulf. It is almost entirely closed, with a narrow passage of 700 metres (2,296 feet) connecting it to the sea.
We will search for dolphins, particularly the bottlenose dolphin, known to inhabit this area. You will have the opportunity to take pictures as they approach the boat.
After the dolphin encounter, we'll stop for a refreshing swim and enjoy a lunch on board, consisting of fish or shellfish, accompanied by a potato and tomato salad, as well as drinks such as water, juice, beer, or wine.
After 4 to 5 hours of cruising in the Ambracian Gulf, we'll return to the meeting point.
