Prignano Cilento Tour

In this guided tour of Prignano Cilento, we'll discover its main monuments and taste the famous white fig of Cilento, a local specialty!

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of the City Hall of Prignano Cilento, where the mayor will welcome us to this town in the Campania region.

We will begin in Piazza Municipio, where we will see the contemporary art monument Canne, by Elio Rumma. The tour includes a walk through the medieval streets of Prignano Cilento, highlighting its religious architecture.

Our route will take us along the Cuesta di San Giuseppe, passing under arches and doorways, where we will see a medieval well and the chapel of San Giuseppe.

Next, we will arrive at the Tempone, one of the gates to the historic center. Here, we will visit an artisan factory of Cilento white figs. Visitors will see the facilities and garden and taste delicacies, including the Monnato white fig.

The tour continues outside the Palazzo Marchesale Cardone and the church of San Nicola. We will conclude with a lunch featuring two courses and a drink, while enjoying views of the Amalfi Coast.

Finally, we will return to the meeting point 4 hours after the tour begins.
