Prignano Cilento Tour

In this guided tour of Prignano Cilento, we'll discover its main monuments and taste the famous white fig of Cilento, a local specialty!

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of the City Hall of Prignano Cilento, where the mayor will welcome us to explore this town in the Campania region.

First, in Piazza Municipio, we'll see the contemporary art monument Canne by Elio Rumma. We'll then walk through the medieval streets of Prignano Cilento, known for its religious architecture.

We'll proceed along the Cuesta di San Giuseppe, passing under arches and doorways, and observe a medieval well and the chapel of San Giuseppe.

Next, we'll reach the Tempone, one of the gates to the historic center. Here, we'll visit an artisan factory of Cilento white figs, where we'll tour the facilities and garden, followed by a tasting of delicacies like the Monnato white fig.

The tour will continue outside the Palazzo Marchesale Cardone and the church of San Nicola. The experience will conclude with a lunch featuring two courses and a drink, along with scenic views of the Amalfi Coast.

We will return to the meeting point 4 hours after the start of the tour.
