On this free tour of Providencia, you'll explore one of the most bohemian neighborhoods in Santiago de Chile on foot while discovering its culture and hidden gems.
Free Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll begin this free tour of Providencia at the Plaza Felipe Dawes, next to the Manuel Montt metro station exit. First, we'll pass by Bar Liguria, an iconic restaurant specializing in Chilean music. Then, we'll head to Pequeña Providencia, a picturesque neighborhood declared a Zona de Conservación Histórica. This area features a lively atmosphere of bars and restaurants.
Our next stop will be at the Iglesia de la Divina Providencia, a Neo-Renaissance style church from the late 19th century. After learning about its history, we'll visit the William Noon architectural complex, also a Zona Típica. We'll stroll along Calle Keller, one of Providencia's hidden gems.
We'll then continue our walk in the Zona Típica of the Población de la Caja del Seguro Obrero neighborhood, known for its classic architecture. Near this neighborhood is the Embassy of Italy in Santiago, one of Providencia's notable buildings. Finally, we will conclude our free tour at the Mercado de Antigüedades, where various items can be found.
