On this fishing tour in Providencia, we'll learn the secrets of one of the most deeply rooted traditions on this Colombian island in the Caribbean. Let's go!

Options

When booking, you can choose from the following options:

4-Hour Fishing Tour

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the floating bar, near the Santa Catalina bridge to head to the Palmera and Basalto Cays, where we'll conduct our fishing activity. Fishing is an ancient practice used in the Colombian islands to sustain the community.

As we set sail on the boat from the north to the south of Providencia, the guide will explain how the fish are cleaned and how to do trolling, a simple fishing technique that consists of dragging bait from the boat. We will aim to catch barracuda and mackerel.

Additionally, we'll pass by the beautiful beaches of Providencia, such as Aguadulce and Bahía Sur Oeste beaches. At Bahía Sur Oeste, we'll stop for a lunch of grilled fish.

After 4 hours of activity, we'll return to the starting point.

5-Hour Lionfish Fishing Tour

If you have a professional diving certificate and more than 20 dives, you can join us on a lionfish fishing tour. Lionfish are known for their white boneless flesh and smooth texture.

We'll fish in One Hook and Pelagic Spot, two locations on the island where lionfish and colorful coral can be found. Fishing will be done with Hawaiian harpoons designed for this purpose. After the tour, we'll serve lunch featuring lionfish ceviche.

If you choose this option, you must go directly to the Felipe Diving Centre.
