Santa Catalina Historical & Cultural Tour
At the scheduled time, pickup will be at your accommodation, followed by a short journey to the Lovers Bridge. From there, we will head towards Santa Catalina Island.
This island spans one square kilometre and is recognized as an open-air museum. We will explore its streets, admiring the typical Caribbean architecture, featuring wooden buildings with colourful roofs that reflect the local flora and fauna.
The tour will include a walk through homes surrounded by vegetation, offering glimpses of tropical fruit trees and colorful flowers. Discussions will cover the island's history with discoverers, pirates, and buccaneers.
Participants will also have the opportunity to engage with locals to learn how to make traditional coconut oil. The tour will continue along the Santa Catalina trail to reach Morgan's Head, a rock formation resembling a human face, named after the pirate Henry Morgan.
The tour concludes at the starting point after approximately 2 to 3 hours.
