If you're in Providencia, take the opportunity to visit its neighbour: the island of Santa Catalina. The crystal clear beaches, Morgan's Head and the Lovers Bridge await your discovery.
Santa Catalina Historical & Cultural Tour
At the appointed time, we will pick you up at your accommodation, and shortly after, we will arrive at the Lovers Bridge, where we will begin our walk to Santa Catalina Island.
This island, only one square kilometre in size, is regarded as an open-air museum. We will explore its streets, showcasing the typical Caribbean architecture with wooden buildings and colourful roofs.
During our exploration, we will visit houses surrounded by vegetation, entering courtyards to see tropical fruit trees and flower bushes. Discussions will cover the history of discoverers, pirates, and buccaneers linked to Santa Catalina.
We'll engage with locals to learn how to make traditional coconut oil, and then proceed along the Santa Catalina trail to reach the notable Morgan's Head. This large rock, resembling a human face, is named after the pirate Henry Morgan.
We will conclude the tour at the starting point 2 to 3 hours after the activity begins.
Pickup
We will pick you up from your accommodation, provided it is located in the Agua Dulce area.
