On this tour from Pucón, you'll travel to the Argentine border with Chile. We'll explore the volcanoes and monkey-puzzle forests along this Andean border.
Argentine Border Tour
At 9 am, we'll set off from your hotel in Pucón to Curarrehue, a Chilean village near the Argentine border.
From Curarrehue, we will travel to Mamuil Mala, the border crossing point between Chile and Argentina across the Andes. We will embark on a sightseeing tour to view the Lanín Volcano, which stands at 12,388 feet (3,776 meters) and is an active part of the Pacific Ring of Fire.
We will make a stop around the volcano, admiring the Araucaria forests, characterized by their soft green hues over the valleys at the foot of Lanín Valley.
The tour will continue along the shores of Lake Quillelhue, located less than a mile from Argentina. Historically, this area lacked roads, necessitating travel by boat across the lake to navigate between countries.
Following our visit to Lake Quillelhue, we will return to your hotel in Pucón, with drop-off at 1 pm.
Pick up
This activity includes pick up from hotels in central Pucón. If you're in a remote area, we will pick you up from 375 Pedro de Valdivia Street.
