Huerquehue National Park Hike
At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Pucón and drive to the Huerquehue National Park, a protected area in the Chilean region of Araucanía. We'll begin our hike by exploring the forests in the park, including the thousand-year-old monkey-puzzle trees. While strolling among the trees, we'll learn about the conditions that allow this botanical species to thrive.
The Huerquehue National Park is known for its Araucaria forests and lakes. During our hiking route, we'll visit the Tinquilco, Verde, Toro, and Chico lakes and admire the surrounding greenery. As we walk, we'll encounter other plants such as coigüe and lenga trees, and learn about the wildlife in the park, including Darwin's frogs and pudus, the smallest species of deer in the world.
After the hike, we'll return to the starting point and make our way back to Pucón, with an expected arrival at 1 pm.
