Delve into the culture and traditions of Pucón's Mapuche community. You'll learn about their customs, rites & dances and even play one of their ancestral sports.

Mapuche Culture Tour

At 2 pm, we will pick you up at your hotel in Pucón and drive to a local Mapuche community near the Villarrica Volcano. The tour includes visits to several rucas, or traditional houses, where families will share their worldview, customs, dances, rites, and religious ceremonies.

You will participate in activities such as toasting wheat and spinning wool, and even try on traditional Mapuche clothing, like the women's dress ñaña and men's garment huentro.

We will also organize games of palín and chueca, two Mapuche sports, teaching you how to play while explaining their history.

After exploring the culture of Chile's largest indigenous group, we will return to your hotel in Pucón by 6 pm.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels in central Pucón. For those staying in remote areas, the pickup point is Calle Pedro de Valdivia, 375.
