Pucón Parasitic Craters Hike
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Pucón and drive to the Andes' temperate forests at the foot of the Villarrica Volcano, the most active in Chile. Upon arrival, we'll see the parasitic craters.
These formations have been shaped by volcanic lava and are part of a breathtaking landscape. The hike covers 5 miles (8 kilometers) and takes between 3 and 4 hours.
We will traverse trails featuring different terrains, including forests and volcanic areas. Along the way, you'll observe the craters and gain panoramic views of the Villarrica, Llaima, Sollipulli, and Quetrupillán volcanoes.
On the ascent to the craters, we will view several glacial lakes, including Villarrica, Caburgua, and Calafquén, surrounded by lush Andean forests.
After the hike, we will return to the starting point and then drop you off at your hotel in Pucón approximately 5 hours later.
