Pucón Parasitic Craters Hike
At the specified time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Pucón and drive to the Andes' temperate forests at the foot of the Villarrica Volcano, the most active volcano in Chile. Upon arrival, we will see the impressive parasitic craters.
These formations have been shaped by volcanic lava, creating a remarkable landscape. The 5-mile (8-kilometre) hike will take approximately 3 to 4 hours.
The trail features different terrains including forests and volcanic areas. Along the way, you will view the craters and have panoramic views of the Villarrica, Llaima, Sollipulli, and Quetrupillán volcanoes.
As we climb to the craters, glacial lakes such as Villarrica, Caburgua, and Calafquén surrounded by Andean forests will be visible.
After exploring, we will return to the starting point and drop you off at your hotel in Pucón approximately 5 hours later.
Pick up
This activity includes pick up from hotels in central Pucón. For remote locations, we will pick you up from 375 Pedro de Valdivia Street.
