Pucón Parasitic Craters Hike

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Pucón and drive to a part of the Andes with temperate forests at the foot of the Villarrica Volcano, the most active in Chile. Upon arrival, we'll see the impressive parasitic craters.

These cavities, carved by volcanic lava, form part of a breathtaking landscape. We'll explore this area during our 5-mile (8-kilometre) hike, lasting between 3 and 4 hours.

Our route features different terrains, from forests to volcanic areas. As we proceed, you'll encounter craters and enjoy panoramic views of the Villarrica, Llaima, Sollipulli, and Quetrupillán volcanoes.

During the ascent, we will see the glacial lakes in the region, including Villarrica, Caburgua, and Calafquén, surrounded by lush Andean forests.

After the hike, we will return to the starting point and drop you off at your hotel in Pucón approximately 5 hours later.
