Aconcagua Park Trip
Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and then head north from Santiago. After driving for around 50 minutes, we make our first stop at the monument to the Chacabuco victory, giving you free time to eat breakfast.
We continue our trip at the Salto del Soldado, a giant ravine in the mountains where the Aconcagua river flows. Legend has it that a patriot soldier escaped from persecution by jumping over this canyon.
Next, the tour crosses the border. In Argentina, we'll pause for a traditional-style drink and an empanada, a treat of caramel sandwiched between shortbread biscuits covered in coconut.
We arrive at Aconcagua Park, where we'll set off on a two-hour trek around the foot of the highest mountain in the Americas, which stands over 22,000 feet. During the trek, we'll admire the landscape surrounding the mountain.
You will have your own free time to eat and regain your strength. We will return to Santiago, making a stop at Laguna del Inca lake in Portillo. Local folklore states that this lake was formed by the tears of an Inca prince mourning his bride, and laments are said to be heard from the water on dark winter nights.
Our tour concludes in the afternoon when we drop you off back at your hotel.
