Aconcagua Park Trip
Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and head north from Santiago. After a 50-minute drive, we will stop at the monument to the Chacabuco victory to admire the site of a crucial battle in Chile's liberation and have free time for breakfast.
The trip continues to Salto del Soldado, a ravine with the Aconcagua river flowing below. According to legend, a soldier escaped persecution by jumping over this canyon.
Next, we cross the border to Argentina, where we'll take a brief pause to enjoy a traditional drink and an empanada, which is a treat of caramel sandwiched between shortbread and covered in coconut.
We then arrive at Aconcagua Park, the star attraction of the excursion. From here, we will embark on a two-hour trek around the foot of the highest mountain in the Americas, which rises over 22,000 feet.
Afterward, you will have free time to eat and regain your strength. Our return to Santiago includes a stop at Laguna del Inca lake in Portillo, where local folklore tells of its formation by the tears of an Inca prince mourning his bride. Our tour ends in the afternoon with a drop-off at your hotel.
