On this day trip to Cajón del Maipo from Santiago de Chile, we'll explore the El Yeso Reservoir, a reserve in the Andes.
Day Trip Details
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Santiago and journey through Cajón del Maipo. Our first stop is Plaza San José de Maipo, a town recognized as a National Monument for its colonial buildings, where we'll experience local culture. Next, we'll arrive at Cajón del Maipo Gorge, known for its Andean landscapes, offering stunning vistas of mountains and blue waters.
Continuing onward, we'll visit the El Yeso Dam, located at 2,500 meters (8,202 ft) above sea level. This reservoir features turquoise waters against snow-capped peaks, providing panoramic views of the landscape.
We will conclude our trip at La Casa de Chocolate for a sweet treat before returning to the starting point 10 hours after the initial pickup time.
