Portillo & Inca Lagoon Day Trip Itinerary

At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Santiago de Chile and head north of the capital via the Los Libertadores highway. We’ll make a brief stop to admire Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Americas. Continuing our ascent into the Andes, we will reach a viewpoint featuring Salto del Soldado Canyon, a site significant to Chile’s history.

Back on the minibus, we will drive through the Rio Blanco National Reserve and navigate the winding Los Caracoles pass to arrive at the Laguna del Inca, near the Argentine border, where we will enjoy a empanada snack while taking in the views. We will spend 40 minutes at the lagoon before heading to the Portillo ski resort, which is well-known for snow sports and hosts the oldest ski hotel in South America.

Before returning, we will stop at the San Esteban Winery to explore the Aconcagua Valley and participate in a wine tasting.

After a full day of exploring, we will return to your hotel in Santiago, approximately 10 hours after the start.
