Portillo & Inca Lagoon Day Trip Itinerary

At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Santiago de Chile and head north via the Los Libertadores highway.

We’ll make a stop to admire Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Americas, before continuing our ascent into the Andes to a viewpoint of the Salto del Soldado Canyon, a significant historical site. We may spot condors during this leg of the journey.

Continuing on the minibus, we’ll drive through the Rio Blanco National Reserve and navigate the Los Caracoles pass until we arrive at the Laguna del Inca, near the Argentine border. Here, we’ll enjoy an empanada snack while taking in the views.

After spending 40 minutes at the lagoon, we’ll proceed to the Portillo ski resort, recognized for its snow sports and as the site of the oldest ski hotel in South America.

Before our return, we’ll stop at the San Esteban Winery to explore the Aconcagua Valley and partake in a wine tasting.

After a day of exploration, we’ll return to your hotel in Santiago, approximately 10 hours after departure.
