Teide Stargazing Tour from North Tenerife

The Teide Stargazing Tour offers a unique opportunity to admire the night sky. Starting from North Tenerife, participants will be picked up from their chosen meeting point and transported to the Teide National Park.

The first stop is the Teide Observatory, operational since 1964, where a guided tour reveals its important solar telescopes and modern technology. Visitors will learn why Tenerife is considered one of the best locations for stargazing and observe the sun through specialized telescopes.

As sunset approaches, participants will witness the sun setting behind Mount Teide, enjoying the transition of colors in the sky. Following this, a 30-minute break will be taken at the base station of the Teide cable car, where a picnic meal, including a sausage and cheese sandwich, a sweet treat, and a drink, will be provided.

After the meal, there will be 1 hour and 15 minutes for stargazing with long-range telescopes. Participants will learn to locate the North Star and explore connections between Greek mythology and stars.

The tour lasts approximately 8 hours and concludes with drop-off at the starting point.

Tour with or without food

Participants have the option to book the tour with or without the picnic meal; if opting out, they should bring their own food.

Pickup

Pickup is available from major hotels and central locations in Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava, and Santa Úrsula. The exact pickup time will be confirmed based on the participant's location and the sunset schedule.
