On our Güirá Oga Wild Animals Shelter Day Trip, you will see various native animal species that cannot return to the wild due to injuries. We will also learn about the care these animals require.

At 10 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Iguazú and take you to the Güirá Oga Wild Animals Shelter, located on the outskirts of the city. The centre, founded in 1997 by Jorge Anfuso and Silvia Elsegood, specializes in rehabilitating birds of prey and other animals.

During the visit, you will explore the shelter's facilities and understand how animals from Iguazú and the Misiones province are cared for. It is important to note that Güirá Oga is not a zoo but a conservation center for species unable to return to their natural habitats.

Throughout the tour, you will observe the rehabilitation of monkeys, toucans, leopards, and other animals. Additionally, you will see areas dedicated to veterinary care, feeding, rehabilitation, and captive breeding.

At 11:30 am, after a significant day at the Güirá Oga Wild Animals Shelter, we will return you to your hotel in Puerto Iguazú.
