What is the habitat of Puerto Iguazú's nocturnal animals like? We'll discover this during our nighttime hiking tour around Iryapú Jungle Reserve. You'll be stunned!
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Jangadero, 136 and from there, we'll head to the Iryapú Natural Reserve in the Paranaense rainforest.
This natural space covers 600 hectares (1,482 acres), where we'll embark on a nighttime hike. The tour includes insights into the customs and traditions of the indigenous Mbya-Guaraní peoples.
The hike, classified as low difficulty, covers a total of 4 km (2.48 miles). Participants will observe huge trees including rosewoods, guatambus, cedars, and strangler fig trees, along with various palm trees, ferns, orchids, and fruit trees.
Wildlife sightings may include coatis, weasels, cai monkeys, southern tamanduas, short-tailed opossums, and snakes. If observant, participants may also see frogs, spiders, and diverse insects. We will collect any rubbish found to help preserve the habitat.
After the hike, we will return to the meeting point in Puerto Iguazú, concluding the tour after a total duration of 2 hours.
