What is the habitat of Puerto Iguazú's nocturnal animals like? We'll discover this during our nighttime hiking tour around Iryapú Jungle Reserve. You'll be stunned!
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Jangadero, 136 and proceed to the Iryapú Natural Reserve in the Paranaense rainforest.
Upon arrival at this 600-hectare (1,482 acres) natural space, we will begin an unforgettable nighttime hike. This tour will explore the customs and traditions of the indigenous Mbya-Guaraní peoples of the area.
This lower-difficulty hike spans a total of 4 km (2.48 miles), featuring huge trees such as rosewoods, guatambus, and cedars. Participants will also observe strangler fig trees, a great variety of palm trees, ferns, orchids, and fruit trees.
Wildlife encounters may include coatis, weasels, cai monkeys, southern tamanduas, short-tailed opossums, and snakes. With careful observation, participants might also spot frogs, spiders, and a wide variety of insects. Participants will collect any rubbish encountered using a special bag to help preserve the habitat.
After the hike, we'll return to the starting point and then to the meeting location in Puerto Iguazú, expected to arrive after approximately 2 hours.
