What is the habitat of Puerto Iguazú's nocturnal animals like? We'll discover this during our nighttime hiking tour around Iryapú Jungle Reserve.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Jangadero, 136 and then proceed to the Iryapú Natural Reserve in the Paranaense rainforest.
Upon arrival, we'll embark on a nighttime hike across 600 hectares (1,482 acres), learning about the customs and traditions of the indigenous Mbya-Guaraní peoples in the area.
This lower-difficulty hike spans a total of 4 km (2.48 miles), where we will observe huge trees like rosewoods, guatambus, and cedars, along with strangler fig trees and a variety of palm trees, ferns, orchids, and fruit trees.
During the hike, we will encounter various species, such as coatis, weasels, cai monkeys, southern tamanduas, short-tailed opossums, and snakes. Attention may also reveal frogs, spiders, and numerous insects. To protect their habitat, any litter will be collected using a special bag.
Finally, we will return to the starting point of the hike and subsequently to the meeting point in Puerto Iguazú, expected to arrive after 2 hours.
