Options

When you book, you can select one of two options. Both include pickup and drop-off for hotels in Puerto Iguazu.

San Ignacio Miní & Wanda Mines (12 Hours)

We will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and travel along the Paraná River towards the south of the province of Misiones.

The first stop will be at the San Ignacio Miní Jesuit Mission ruins, a registered World Heritage Site. Here, you will learn about the history of Roque González de Santa Cruz and view Argentina's best-preserved mission, used as a film set for scenes in "The Mission". The tour includes a sound and light show highlighting the architecture of its stone buildings.

Next, we proceed to the Wanda mines, known for semi-precious stones like quartz, amethysts, topaz, and agates. You will see the mine workshop and learn how these materials are extracted and processed for local jewelry.

The tour also includes checking out yerba mate and tea plantations, a visit to a yerba mate mill, and a lunch break.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Puerto Iguazu.

Wanda Mines (4 Hours)

We will pick you up from a meeting point of your choice and travel for one hour to the Wanda Mines.

Upon arrival, you will witness the process of extracting semi-precious stones in the mines and visit the workshop to learn about the processing of these stones before they are sold.

The trip will conclude with a return to your hotels in Puerto Iguazu.

Pickup or Meeting Point

This tour includes pickup from hotels located in the centre of Puerto Iguazu. You can also choose pickup at the Meliá Hotel. If you are in another area, you will need to go to the ACA petrol station in Puerto Iguazu.
