Cheese & Yoghurt Workshop in Puerto Inca
We'll begin our trip by meeting at 8 am at the Hospedaje Los Incas to start this gastronomic experience.
First, we'll head to a family dairy in Puerto Inca, where the cows from which we'll obtain the milk are kept. On arrival, we'll receive an introduction on cow care and milking methods.
After the milking activity, we'll take a break for lunch. Soon after, we'll attend a master class to learn about methods for preserving milk and its derivatives. We’ll prepare the milk we collected from the cows to make cheese and yoghurt using traditional methods, without packaged crops, additives, and chemicals.
After packing the dairy products, we'll wait for them to harden before taking the fresh cheese home. We will also learn how to make delicious cured cheese and cottage cheese with the leftover whey, which you can replicate at home!
At 6 pm, we'll conclude the workshop.
