Cheese & Yoghurt Workshop in Puerto Inca
We'll begin our trip by meeting at 8 am at the Hospedaje Los Incas to start this gastronomic experience.
First, we'll head to a family dairy in Puerto Inca where the cows from which we'll obtain the milk are kept. On arrival, we'll receive an introduction on how the cows are taken care of as well as the types of milking methods.
After the milking activity, we'll take a break for lunch. Soon after, we'll attend a master class in which we'll learn about the methods of preserving milk and its derivatives. We'll prepare the milk we have taken from the cows to make cheese and yoghurt in the traditional way, using non-packaged crops, additives, and chemicals.
After packing the dairy products, we'll wait for them to harden before taking the fresh cheese we have prepared with us. Additionally, we will reveal how to make a delicious cured cheese and cottage cheese with the leftover whey, which you can make at home!
At 6 pm, we'll conclude the workshop.
