Puerto Inca Chocolate Workshop
In Peru, chocolate has a privileged place due to its historical cocoa consumption. The tropical climate is ideal for cultivating the cocoa tree, producing some of the tastiest chocolate in the world.
This workshop in Puerto Inca focuses on Peruvian cocoa culture. Participants will meet at 8 am at Hospedaje Los Incas to begin the experience. The first activity involves visiting the farm to pick ripe cocoa fruit.
A lunch break will include soup or salad, a meat or fish dish, and a fruit drink.
After lunch, participants will extract the white pulp from the cocoa fruit, roast, peel, and crush the beans. The grinding process follows, along with tempering and molding the cocoa to create the final product: handmade chocolate.
The workshop concludes with a tasting of the chocolate made. The experience ends at 6 pm.
