Navigate the Pachitea River and learn about the traditions of the Ashaninka people when you visit one of their traditional villages.
Visit to an Ashaninka Community
We will meet at 5:30 am at the Hospedaje Los Incas de Puerto Inca. Here, we will board a boat to travel along the course of the Pachitea River, a tributary of the Ucayali.
For two hours, we will sail along this stretch of the Amazon, contemplating its environment. We will stop on one of its banks to visit an Ashaninka indigenous community, whose origins date back to pre-Columbian times.
In the village, we will learn about the way of life and ancestral customs of this community, and enjoy a typical lunch prepared by the Asháninka. After, you will have free time to explore the village.
At the end of the experience, we will return to Puerto Inca by bus, with arrival scheduled for 5:30 pm.
