Visit to an Ashaninka Community

  • 12 Stunden

Navigate the Pachitea River and learn about the traditions of the Ashaninka people when you visit one of their traditional villages. Immerse yourself in one of Peru's ancient cultures.

Visit to an Ashaninka Community

We will meet at 5:30 am, at the Hospedaje Los Incas de Puerto Inca. Here, we will board a boat to travel along the course of the Pachitea River, a tributary of the Ucayali.

For two hours, we will sail along this stretch of the Amazon, contemplating its environment and vegetation until we stop on one of its banks to disembark and visit an Ashaninka indigenous community. This tribe belongs to an Amazonian ethnic group with origins dating back to pre-Columbian times.

In the village, we will learn about the way of life and the ancestral customs of this community, and enjoy a typical lunch prepared by the Asháninka themselves. You will have free time to explore the village and learn about the indigenous people.

At the end of the experience, we will return to the starting point of Puerto Inca by bus, with arrival scheduled for 5:30 pm.
