Pick-up from your accommodation in Puerto Madryn occurs as the sun begins to set. Travel on a 4x4 vehicle across the dunes of Punta Loma and Paraná beach, with a stop to view the remains of El Folías, a sunken fishing boat.

After a half-hour drive, arrive at Cerro Avanzado Hill, which is over 91 meters (300 feet) high. Explore the rocky outcrop under the dusky light using binoculars and a torch.

Trace fox and guanaco footprints while the guide explains the geological formation's origins, and view fossil remains in the area.
