If you are arriving in Puerto Madryn by cruise, our specially designed trip to Punta Tombo offers an ideal experience. This nature reserve is home to Argentina's largest colony of penguins and features stunning landscapes.
Punta Tombo Shore Excursion
We will pick you up at the port of Puerto Madryn and travel to Punta Tombo (entrance not included). The journey covers approximately 100 miles to reach the natural reserve known for its penguin colony.
Upon arrival, we will embark on a walk along the nature trail through the reserve, where you can observe penguins caring for their chicks amidst the vegetation. We will maintain silence to avoid disturbing sleeping penguins.
A stop will be made at a scenic viewpoint to watch the penguins interacting with the ocean. You will gain insights into the lives of these creatures, as over a million penguins inhabit the shores in summer.
In addition to penguins, you may encounter Guanacos, Piche 'dwarf' armadillos, and foxes, which are native to the region.
After the walk, we will visit a roadside inn for your free time to have lunch (not included). Afterwards, we will return to Puerto Madryn, ensuring you arrive back in time to board your cruise ship.
Road conditions
The trip depends on road conditions. If access to the reserve is affected, you can choose to change the date or receive a refund.
