Punta Tombo Shore Excursion

Your journey begins with a pickup at the port of Puerto Madryn, after which we will travel approximately 100 miles to Punta Tombo (entrance not included). Upon arrival at this vast natural reserve, renowned for being home to Argentina's largest colony of penguins, we will set off on a pleasant walk along the nature trail that winds through the reserve.

As we walk, you will come across penguins roaming the vegetation and caring for their chicks. It is essential to maintain a quiet demeanor to avoid waking those who are resting!

We will pause at one of the top panoramic viewpoints where you can observe the penguins jumping in and out of the ocean. Throughout our exploration of Punta Tombo, you will gain insights into the lives of these fascinating creatures. In the summer, over a million penguins gather on these shores.

Aside from penguins, you may also spot Guanacos, Piche 'dwarf' armadillos, and foxes, all native to this region.

After our walk, we will visit a roadside inn, allowing you to enjoy some free time for lunch (not included). Once reenergized, we will return to Puerto Madryn, ensuring you arrive back at the port in time to board your cruise ship.
