Encounter the fascinating Patagonian dolphin and meet lovely penguins and other birds native to the Punta Tombo Nature Reserve during this trip from Puerto Madryn.
Punta Tombo Trip + Dolphin Spotting
At the specified time, you will be collected from your hotel in Puerto Madryn and head south towards the port of Rawson.
At the port, a boat will be ready for a journey into open seas, focusing on spotting Patagonian dolphins. The boat ride lasts approximately an hour and a half, allowing you to observe these dolphins as they perform acrobatic jumps.
After the boat ride, the tour continues south for about 65 miles to the Punta Tombo Natural Reserve, the largest continental colony of Magellanic penguins in the world.
The reserve tour begins at the Interpretation Center, where you can learn about the penguins, with the colony boasting over one million individuals in the summer.
Next, you will explore 2 miles of wooden walkways along the coastline, encountering numerous penguins and other bird species, as well as observing their nests.
After completing the tour, you will return to the vehicle for transfer back to your hotel in Puerto Madryn, with a total duration of approximately 10 hours.
