After pick-up at 11:00 am from your hotel in Puerto Montt, we will drive along the Carretera Austral to spot birds in their natural habitat. Our first stop will include the fishermen's coves of Coihuin, Chamiza, and Piedra Azul, progressing towards the Pichi Quillaipe area. We will then continue to the beach resort of Pelluco, where we will take a walk to observe native birds.

If conditions permit, we will see endemic birds such as black-necked swans, southern pylons, and gulls. We will also visit the church of Santa Cruz de Pelluco before continuing towards Piedra Azul, where we will take a brief break for refreshments.

Next, we will return via Chilean Route 7, known as the Carretera Austral, towards the Lenca sector. During this route, we will look for other birds like the cahuil and the chucao. The tour will educate you on distinguishing these birds based on plumage, beak color, and calls.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Puerto Montt, arriving at 4:00 pm.
