Carretera Austral Norte 11-Day Bike Tour

Day 1: Puerto Montt

We'll meet at 4 pm at Hostal Casa Ankulenmo in Puerto Montt. This location will serve as our accommodation for the first night.

Day 2: Puerto Montt - La Arena - Hornopirén

After breakfast, we will travel by minibus to La Arena and take a boat across the Reloncaví Estuary to Caleta Puelche. We will then begin our bike tour on Route 7 until reaching a central hostel in Hornopirén.

Day 3: Hornopirén - Chaitén

After breakfast, we will take a boat for the five-hour journey to Caleta Gonzalo and cycle through forests, concluding at a campsite near Chaitén.

Day 4: Chaitén - Yelcho Lake

We'll cycle through Pumalín National Park, stopping at Puerto Cadenas to view the suspension bridge over the Yelcho River, and end the day at a campsite on Yelcho Lake.

Day 5: Yelcho Lake - La Junta

The route will pass through the aftermath of the 2017 mudslide and conclude in a hostel in La Junta.

Day 6: La Junta - Puyuhuapi

We will cycle into Queulat National Park and after lunch in Puyuhuapi, travel to the Ventisquero hot springs. We will rest at a hostel between La Junta and Puyuhuapi.

Day 7: Puyuhuapi - Queulat National Park

Early morning cycling along the Puyuhuapi fjord will lead to optional hiking at the Ventisquero Colgante viewpoint. We will camp in Queulat National Park.

Day 8: Queulat National Park - Villa Amengual

We will navigate the steep Cuesta Queulat with 33 curves before reaching a campsite in Villa Amengual.

Day 9: Villa Amengual - Villa Mañihuales

Cycling along Route 7, we will pass Laguna Esponja before arriving at a campsite in Villa Mañihuales.

Day 10: Villa Mañihuales - Coyhaique

The day includes cycling through winding roads, with a stop for lunch in Villa Ortega, concluding at a hostel in Coyhaique.

Day 11: Coyhaique

Breakfast is included at the hostel in Coyhaique, concluding the tour.
