Carretera Austral Norte 11-Day Bike Tour

Day 1: Puerto Varas

Meeting at 3 pm at the Hotel Germania in Puerto Varas for introductions and route details. Accommodation for the first night is at this hotel.

Day 2: Puerto Varas - La Arena - Hornopirén

Breakfast followed by a minibus ride to La Arena, then a boat across the Reloncaví Estuary to Caleta Puelche.

Start of the bike tour along Route 7, concluding at a hostel in Hornopirén.

Day 3: Hornopirén - Chaitén

After breakfast, we’ll take a boat for the five-hour journey to Caleta Gonzalo, cycling through forests near the Chaitén volcano, and camping near Chaitén.

Day 4: Chaitén - Yelcho Lake

Cycling from Chaitén through Pumalín National Park, with a stop at Puerto Cardenas. End the day at a campsite by Yelcho Lake.

Day 5: Yelcho Lake - La Junta

Bike route to Villa Santa Lucía, viewing the 2017 mudslide damage, ending the day at a hostel in La Junta.

Day 6: La Junta - Queulat National Park

Cycling into Queulat National Park and then minibus to the Ventisquero hot springs. Overnight at a lodge in the park.

Day 7: Queulat National Park

Cycling along Puyuhuapi fjord, with a hiking option to the Ventisquero Colgante viewpoint. Evening at a lodge in Queulat National Park.

Day 8: Queulat National Park - Villa Amengual

Climbing Cuesta Queulat with panoramic views and staying at Cisnes Bed Refuge.

Day 9: Villa Amengual - Puerto Aysén

Cycling through Lago Las Torres National Reserve, arriving at Villa Mañihuales for lunch, followed by transport to Puerto Aysén for an overnight stay at Hotel Patagonia Green.

Day 10: Puerto Aysén - Coyhaique

Rafting down the river and cycling through scenic roads to Coyhaique. Overnight at Rumbo Sur Apart Hotel.

Day 11: Coyhaique

Breakfast at the hotel in Coyhaique to conclude the tour.
