Chiloé Day Trip: Quemchi, Dalcahue & Castro
We'll pick you up from your downtown Puerto Montt hotel. Following this, we'll enjoy a scenic hour-long drive to Pargua. Upon arrival at the port, we'll board a ferry and sail across the Chacao Channel, where we can observe sea lions, pelicans, and other marine fauna. After about 30 minutes, we’ll arrive at the port of Chacao for a brief stroll to see its picturesque church and main square.
Next, we’ll head to Quemchi, known for its beach, the Costanera. We will continue by crossing a 430-meter (1,410-foot) bridge to Aucar, the “Island of the Sailing Souls.” From there, we will proceed to Dalcahue to visit the local handicraft market and the church of Nuestra Señora De Los Dolores, a part of the World Heritage Site.
Our final destination is Castro, the island's capital, where we will explore the brightly painted houses, visit the San Francisco church, and check out the handicraft market.
We will conclude the day by departing Chiloé Island and returning to Puerto Montt, with arrival expected 12 hours after pickup.
