Frutillar is a captivating town on Lake Llanquihue; experience it on this day trip from Puerto Montt.
Frutillar Day Trip
At around 2 pm, you will be picked up from your hotel in central Puerto Montt and head north to Llanquihue. There, you will learn about the Maullin River's source and the old Settlers' Route. The town is also known for its jerky. You will visit Lake Llanquihue, the second-largest lake in Chile.
Your next stop will be Frutillar, a German village featuring traditional wooden Bavarian houses. You will learn about the Frutillar Music Weeks and its recognition as the music capital of the country.
As you explore its colorful streets and manicured gardens, you will enjoy views of the Puntiagudo and Osorno volcanoes. Optionally, visit the German Colonial Museum and admire the Teatro del Lago, a significant venue in South America.
You will return to Puerto Montt, arriving at your hotel approximately at 6:30 pm.
