Frutillar is a notable town on Lake Llanquihue; experience it on this day trip from Puerto Montt.
Frutillar Day Trip
At approximately 2 pm, we will pick you up from your hotel in central Puerto Montt and travel north to our first stop: Llanquihue.
There, we will visit the source of the Maullin River and learn about the old Settlers' Route. The town is known for its jerky, and we will discover why. We will also explore Lake Llanquihue, the second-largest lake in Chile.
Our next destination will be Frutillar, a German village featuring traditional wooden Bavarian houses. We will learn about the Frutillar Music Weeks, which has established the town as the music capital of the country.
As we stroll through its vibrant streets and manicured gardens, we will enjoy views of the Puntiagudo and Osorno volcanoes. Guests may also choose to visit the German Colonial Museum and admire the Teatro del Lago, a significant venue in South America.
We will return to Puerto Montt, arriving at your hotel around 6:30 pm.
