Hiking in the Alerce Andino National Park
Pickup from your hotel in Puerto Montt will occur at 9:30 am, followed by travel to the Alerce Andino National Park.
Upon arrival, participants will embark on a hike in this protected natural area, known for its diverse flora and fauna.
During the hike, you will hear the singing of endemic birds and observe various botanical species including hazelnut trees, myrtles, coihues, and ulmos. The trail spans approximately 4 kilometers, providing views of the landscapes around the river. The tour includes a visit to the Saltos del Chaica waterfalls, where you will have one hour of free time to swim and enjoy a picnic.
After this break, the hike continues with a final climb of 100 meters to view a millennial larch tree that stands at a height of 75 meters. The group will then return to the starting point of the hike.
The minibus will take participants back to their hotels, concluding the activity at 4:00 pm in Puerto Montt.
