Hiking in the Alerce Andino National Park
Pickup is at your hotel in Puerto Montt at 9:30 am, followed by travel south to the Alerce Andino National Park.
Upon arrival, you will begin a hiking adventure through this protected area. Enjoy the sounds of endemic birds while exploring various botanical species including hazelnut trees, myrtles, coihues, and ulmos.
The trail is approximately 4 kilometers long, providing views of the river and leading to the Saltos del Chaica, where you will have an hour of free time for swimming and picnicking.
After this break, you will trek the final 100 meters to see the ancient thousand-year-old larch tree, standing at 75 meters high. The hike concludes as you return to the starting point.
The return journey will take place via minibus, concluding the activity at 4:00 pm, with drop-off at your hotel in Puerto Montt.
