Lake Llanquihue Villages Tour

At 8:30 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in central Puerto Montt and head to Lake Llanquihue to explore the surrounding villages.

The first stop is the municipality of Llanquihue, known for its cured meats and as the source of the Maullín River. The name comes from the Mapuche language, meaning 'the place where one dives into water.'

Next, we will visit Frutillar, a village with Bavarian roots. Here, you'll find traditional wooden houses, charming gardens, and German breweries. You may also visit the Teatro del Lago, a notable theatre, and the German Colonial Museum to learn about early settlers.

We will continue to Puerto Octay, on the northern banks, featuring iconic Germana architecture. We will discuss its economic history as the first port for exporting agricultural products to Osorno.

Finally, we will return to Puerto Montt, arriving at around 2 pm.
