Lake Llanquihue Villages Tour

At 8:30 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in central Puerto Montt and set off for Lake Llanquihue to explore the villages located on its shores.

The first stop will be the municipality of Llanquihue, known for its cured meats and as the source of the Maullín River. The name comes from the Mapuche language, meaning 'the place where one dives into water.'

Next, we will continue to Frutillar, a village with Bavarian origins. We will walk through its streets featuring traditional wooden houses and gardens, and observe its German breweries. You may visit the German Colonial Museum to learn about the area's first settlers.

We will also visit Puerto Octay, located on the northern banks, which showcases traditional German architecture. We will delve into its economic history, being the first port to export agricultural products to Osorno.

We will then begin our return journey to Puerto Montt, arriving at approximately 2 pm.
