Lake Llanquihue Villages Tour
At 8:30 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in central Puerto Montt to begin our tour of Lake Llanquihue.
The first stop is the municipality of Llanquihue, known for its cured meats and as the source of the Maullín River. The name comes from the Mapuche language and means 'the place where one dives into water.'
Next, we will visit Frutillar, a village with Bavarian origins. We will stroll through its streets with traditional wooden houses and gardens, observing its German breweries. You can also visit the German Colonial Museum to learn about the area's early Teutonic settlers.
We will continue to Puerto Octay, situated on the northern banks, which features iconic traditional German architecture. Here, we will explore its squares and discuss its economic history as the first port exporting agricultural products to Osorno.
We will then start our return to Puerto Montt, expected around 2 pm.
