Cacao Island and San Antonio Community Trip
We will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Nariño at the chosen time to begin our excursion to Cacao Island. This location in Peru is known for its indigenous community and its cuisine.
At the port, we will take a boat across the Amazon for a 20-minute journey, enjoying the jungle landscapes and the wildlife along the riverbanks, before reaching the community of San Antonio.
We will explore the customs of the community, appreciate their constructions, and learn about the cultural differences between Colombians and Peruvians. This is a unique experience.
Next, we will tour the surrounding lands and head into the jungle of Cacao Island to learn about its fauna and flora. You will see the giant ceiba roots and, if fortunate, encounter some friendly sloths.
After a four-hour excursion, we will return to Puerto Nariño to drop you off at the departure pier.
