Discover the famous wetlands of the Amazon River with a boat ride on the Tarapoto lakes. You'll sail over a mile to the Ramsar biosphere reserve, witnessing various fauna and flora.

Tarapoto Lakes Boat Trip

At the scheduled time, pickup from your hotel in Puerto Nariño will commence the boat trip through the picturesque lakes of Tarapoto.

We will start by sailing just over a mile down the Loretoyacu River to the Tarapoto wetlands system, a biosphere reserve home to river dolphins, crocodiles, and anacondas. Sightings of these creatures are possible during the journey.

Upon reaching the Ramsar reserve, we will follow a tributary of the Amazon River into the flooded forest, drifting into the main lake where we will stop to enjoy a snack and take a dip in the waters.

After a 4-hour boat ride, we will return to Puerto Nariño and drop you off at the dock.
