Tarapoto Lakes Boat Trip

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Nariño to begin a boat trip through the lakes of Tarapoto. We will sail just over a mile down the Loretoyacu River to the Tarapoto wetlands system. This area is a biosphere reserve and home to river dolphins, crocodiles, and anacondas. Sightings of these creatures may occur during the trip.

Upon reaching the Ramsar reserve, we will follow a tributary of the Amazon into the flooded forest. We will drift into the main lake and stop on its shores to enjoy a snack and take a dip in its waters.

After a 4-hour boat ride, we will return to Puerto Nariño and drop you off at the dock.
