Puerto Plata Cycling Tour

On this cycling tour around Puerto Plata, we'll explore the historic centre, visiting the Amber Museum and San Felipe Fortress.

Description

We'll meet at the scheduled time in front of the CESEP headquarters to begin our cycling tour. We will pedal through shaded streets and enjoy a coffee made from Yaroa highlands beans.

Next, we will cycle to Parque Independencia via Callejón Rosado, surrounded by Victorian houses, before reaching San Felipe Cathedral.

We will learn about Dominican amber at the Puerto Plata Amber Museum, known for its connection to the Jurassic Park film.

Continuing, we will visit the fire station and Murales y Chichiguas Street, famous for colorful paper kites.

The next stop will be Puerto Plata Cigar, where we will discuss the significance of Dominican tobacco and coffee. We will then cycle along the Malecon, seeing views of the Atlantic. Our final destination will be the Puntilla de Puerto Plata, where we will explore the San Felipe Fortress and its museum for an hour.

After 3 hours, we will conclude the cycling tour by returning to the starting point.
